LET’S INNOVATE TOGETHER

FOR THE LOVE OF THE WORLD!

As you may know, the OSV Challenge – an entrepreneurial competition with prize money – has been put on hold. The market and economic factors of last year greatly impacted the resources that the OSV Institute has for not only prizes, but also for internal operations.

With every sincere intention, the plan for a brand-new spin on the OSV Challenge was meant to be unveiled in late January. While building these new components of the OSV Challenge, the team at the Institute has also been working behind the scenes to find new solutions to relaunch financial opportunities for Catholic innovators.

Transparently, the final product isn’t ready… yet. And so for now, the OSV Challenge for 2023 is on hold.

We regret that we do not have any other details to share with you at this time. However, during this period of pivoting, iterating and discernment, we are convinced that God will use this time to make available more opportunities for Catholic innovators.

New developments will be announced through the newsletter and OSV Connect. Please join our community on those platforms to stay updated!

2022 Winners & Finalists!

Over 1,000 innovators started the 2022 OSV Challenge journey with ideas to impact the Catholic Church. Those ideas were narrowed down over 5 rounds of intense courses including Value Proposition, Business Model Canvas, and an 8-week Accelerator. The entrepreneurs who demonstrated creativity, grit, hustle and those with the most revolutionary ideas came out on top.

The OSV Challenge is more than just a competition of winning ideas to impact the Church. It is driven, motivated and inspired by the passion of the people behind those ideas. These Catholic men and women are the spearheads of innovation, the saints-in-the-making and the go-getters in entrepreneurship.

FOLLOWING IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF NOLL

The OSV Challenge was inspired by the legacy of Archbishop John Francis Noll and the innovative ways that he sought to employ new ideas and expand generosity for the growth and support of Catholic organizations. For over 100 years, OSV Institute continues to reinvest money generated from OSV solutions back into the Church in projects like the OSV Challenge. In his inspirational OSV talk, OSV CEO Kyle Hamilton draws upon the story of how Archbishop Noll stared down the face of fierce anti-Catholicism in small-town Indiana in the early 20th century and started an innovation revolution in the Catholic Church across the entire United States.
