Huntington, IN, August 10, 2021 — OSV Institute for Catholic Innovation announces the names of fourteen grant recipients that were awarded a total of $1.2 million dollars. These funds are allocated for impactful programs that had the aims of building capacity within each respective organization.

Since 1915, OSV Institute has been granting profits from OSV products and services to reinvest into the Church as well as causes that make the most impact. Since the inception of this vision put into place by OSV’s founder, Archbishop John Francis Noll, over $80 million has been invested in support of thousands of initiatives and events.

“This current funding is to help organizations, invited to apply, to build the needed capacity to keep growing and changing lives in a transformative way,” said Jason Shanks, President of OSV Institute for Catholic Innovation.

This distribution of funds marks a significant shift in funding priorities for the organization.

“Last year,” Shanks continued, “the OSV Institute pivoted to focus on effective strategies and methods within the new evangelization.”

The rebrand of OSV Institute resulted in a new name and a change in its grantmaking strategy. While the newly named OSV Institute for Catholic Innovation will no longer be accepting grant applications, it has refocused its resources on the OSV Challenge (osvchallenge.com) and OSV Talks (osvtalks.com).

Shanks continued, “We are so grateful for the work of our grantees in support of the Church. We believe that our focus on innovation has the potential to bring more people to the Church and have a positive impact on the world.”

The 2021 grant recipients are: Aid for Women, A Mother’s Hope, Archdiocese of Chicago, Office of Human Dignity & Solidarity, Exodus, Inc., Fierce Athlete, Huntington Catholic, The Messy Family Project, Southeast Pastoral Institute, Tepeyac Institute Inc., Vagabond Ministries, Women’s Care Center, USCCB – Encuentro, USCCB – Eucharistic Revival, and the University of St. Francis.
