OSV INSTITUTE SUSPENDS UNSOLICITED GRANTS FOR REMAINDER OF 2020

Posted: 05/12/2020 | Press Releases

OSV Institute provides funds for Church-related non-profits, parishes, and dioceses through operating revenue from OSV’s services and products. With a downturn in overall activity at OSV due to the pandemic, the OSV Board and Institute Committee have decided to suspend funding for the remainder of calendar year 2020. OSV will continue to fund all commitments made prior to this grant cycle including the past winter cycle grants and multi-year grant commitments. In addition, funding of the OSV Innovation Challenge (osvchallenge.com) and OSV Innovation Talks (osvtalks.com) will remain fully intact. OSV will give out about $3M in total this year even with suspension of unsolicited grants for the remainder of the year. OSV Institute will continue to support grantees in non-financial ways, looking to creative and proactive approaches to further address our focus areas (Re-Captivating Millennials, Hispanic Experience, and Supporting Parents) and incubate transformative ideas to serve the Church.

This suspension of grants will also enable OSV Institute to take a focused look at the impact of its giving since changing its strategic priorities over the last two years.
