Corazon Puro is providing an inculturated roadmap for Hispanic youth to become protagonists in the Church! Currently 54% of young Catholics in the United States are Hispanic [†] and every 30 seconds another Latino turns 18 [‡]. Many parishes lack the resources to accompany them during these pivotal years. A courageous creativity is needed to meet this daunting challenge. Corazon Puro is launching a project titled,
R.E.A.L. Formation/ Formación R.E.A.L. (Reawaken, Educate and Awaken Leaders / Reavivar, Educar y Actualizar Lideres).
It is a post-confirmation program in English and Spanish. Our Sunday Visitor Institute (OSV) has partnered with us to support the development and publication of books, toolkits, and an online resource platform that captures the essence of our proven leadership formation program. This will be a resource for Ministers, Priests, Parishes and Dioceses that will awaken and accompany Hispanic youth and young adults to a path of service within their communities of faith; all the while, keeping it REAL.
We are confident that this partnership will greatly impact the lives of Hispanic youth, young adults and families. I encourage you to continue to pray for us, spread the word and stay connected.
